CVS Online Photo May Have Been Breached

Today, CVS halted their online photo center after a security breach was discovered that may have allowed customer credit card data information to be stolen from a breach.

The CVS Photo stated that their customers who shop at CVS.com and in their stores are not affected.

CVS became aware that customer credit card information that is collected by the independent vendor who hosts the CVSPhoto.com may have been compromised, the company stated.  CVS’s online photo processing and CVSPhoto.com are completely separate from CVS.com and their  pharmacies.

Credit Card Hackers Cause Major Security Breach of Point of Sale Terminals at Harbortouch Security

You may have never heard of Harbortouch Security, but the chances are very good that your credit card has danced at least once with them. The company provides point-of-sale (POS) systems (aka, “those newfangled cash registers”) to around 150,000 businesses, mostly restaurants and bars. When several banks discovered breaches in at least 4,200 of their customers’ accounts, they started to suspect that the credit card processing company had been compromised.
