Russians did some underground magic for themselves and attacked the unclassified Pentagon email system that is used by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It was pulled online on July 25th.
It appears the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s unclassified email network was taken down because of activity that was suspicious. The Pentagon email network is used by over 4,000 military and civilian personnel who work for the Joint Chiefs. The attack from the Russian hackers was done through social media channels.
