FBI Determines that 1.2 Billion Credential have been Stolen By Russian Hackers

The FBI is going after a Russian hacker who states to have taken about 1.2 billion unique email and password combinations and also can grant access to Facebook and Twitter accounts that have been hacked.  This was made public in a Federal Milwaukee Court

Looks Like The Russians Are Behind The Pentagon Email Breach

Russians did some underground magic for themselves and attacked the unclassified Pentagon email system that is used by the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  It was pulled online on July 25th.

It appears the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s unclassified email network was taken down because of activity that was suspicious.  The Pentagon email network is used by over 4,000 military and civilian personnel who work for the Joint Chiefs.  The attack from the Russian hackers was done through social media channels.

CVS Online Photo May Have Been Breached

Today, CVS halted their online photo center after a security breach was discovered that may have allowed customer credit card data information to be stolen from a breach.

The CVS Photo stated that their customers who shop at CVS.com and in their stores are not affected.

CVS became aware that customer credit card information that is collected by the independent vendor who hosts the CVSPhoto.com may have been compromised, the company stated.  CVS’s online photo processing and CVSPhoto.com are completely separate from CVS.com and their  pharmacies.
