FBI Determines that 1.2 Billion Credential have been Stolen By Russian Hackers

The FBI is going after a Russian hacker who states to have taken about 1.2 billion unique email and password combinations and also can grant access to Facebook and Twitter accounts that have been hacked.  This was made public in a Federal Milwaukee Court

Did the St. Louis Cardinals Hack the Houston Astros Computer System?

It appears some possible hacking by someone in the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization may have done a little hacking into the Houston Astros’ organization.  The FBI is investigating after evidence was found that the Cardinals’ front-office personnel may have hacked into the Astros’ databases and looked at scouting reports, stats and info about potential trades..

Major Security Breach at IRS, Everyone’s Favorite Government Agency

Amazingly, but maybe not surprisingly, the Internal Revenue Service computer systems were hacked and about 100,000 tax payer accounts were breached.

You would think that the agency taking a nice chunk of our earned income would be able to protect our information from security breach. Not so: It appears that even the IRS cannot prevent hackers from sneaking into their systems and yanking about 100,000 taxpayers’ information from their accounts.
